I don’t think the number of people is necessarily a problem, I think it is mainly how those people live and use (or misuse) the world around us that is the real problem. People taking things like recycling seriously, relying on their cars less, turning off switches, trying to locally source products, can help the world cope with the number of people. I am unsure what you mean by Global Organisation exactly? But feel free to elaborate and I’ll happily give my opinion on it! 😀

I agree with Lauren, it’s all a question of how we use our resources (things like food, fuel and space) and how we treat our environment. Plenty of ideas exist to help improve how we do this; rubbish has been used to create land in some countries, insect- resistant crops have been developed and wind turbines are popping up to help reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.

The problem is that ideas like these have two major obstacles…Firstly, many of them require a lot of money which can be a problem for individuals but also for countries as a whole. Secondly, not everyone is aware of the stresses that are being placed on the planet by humans and so they don’t know that change is important or perhaps think that their changes will be pointless unless everyone does the same.

Social media movements can be really helpful, lots of people now know about micro-plastics and the benefits of going plastic-free. I hope that campaigns like this will increase awareness in individuals and encourage them to invest a little bit in their planet.

It is really hard to get a whole globe of people to make improvements with this, sometimes because due to a lack of money and sometimes due to a lack of
