Question: To escape air pollution would it be possible to live in a city under the sea

That’s a really cool idea! Sadly I think we would still have problems with air pollution because to live under the water (I am picturing a giant dome like in the Simpsons Movie) we would have to pump air in from the surface which is already polluted. Perhaps less polluted than in our cities though because it will be collected out to sea where nobody lives.

Maybe in the very far future we could create a machine that produces clean air from chemical reactions with sea water however you have to remember that not all air pollution comes from cars. We would soon fill our dome up with fumes from cooking, chemicals from burning candles and dust.

Now to go watch the Simpsons Movie…
