• Question: is there any evidence suggesting other galaxies exist?

      Yep, plenty. You can even see one for yourself – called the Andromeda galaxy. It it the furthest object from the Earth that we can see with the naked eye. Look in the sky on a dark moonless night…let me know how you get on!
