• Question: if you died on Mars and you were buried on Mars would your body decompose quicker or slower. Or would you just stay the same forever or for a long time?.

I think your body would decompose much slower, if at all. Decomposition occurs when bacteria and fungi grows in the body, using the tissue as food. On Earth, this population of microbes comes from the environment as well as inside your body but we are yet to find evidence of bacteria or fungi living on Mars meaning that fewer microbes would contribute to the decomposition process. Also, the rate of decomposition is very dependent on temperature – that’s why we keep food in cold places- to slow down microbial growth. Mars is further away from the sun than Earth so our internal microbes would be subject to much lower temperatures which would have a big impact on their growth rate – in fact they may not even be warm enough to survive at all!

i think an experiment is needed to answer this properly….
