• Question: If renewable energy started to be used a lot more and fossil fuels started to be used less, would the pollution off fossil fuels still be around afterwards?

That’s a really good question – lots of factors affect how long air pollution sticks around for. As examples, the weather has a big impact and also how enclosed roads are.

While renewable fuels like biodiesel are probably a good idea for the planet, they do produce many of the same pollutants as fossil fuels and it will be hard to see which type of fuel they came from. We should however, see a gradual decrease in the pollutants that aren’t produced by biodiesel. How long this will take, I don’t know, but every little helps!
