      Hi Belle721,

Asthma doesn’t really get cured but can go into remission (where you don’t have any symptoms or flare ups for a long time). People who feel they have grown out of their childhood asthma often show signs of lasting damage in their lungs and often experience symptoms later in life. The risk of this happening is increased if the person’s airways get inflamed again – by things like viruses, pollen, dust or air pollution.

Hope that answers your question 🙂
