Hello, research on cancer is now allowing for many deadly diseases to become treatable when compared to 10 years ago. However, in many cases, the cancer is not always curable. I work in precision medicine which means I study a cancer patients DNA to see if they can be treated in a way that is personal. What I mean by this is that currently many cancer patients all receive the same drugs for their illness but these do not always work. We would, therefore, like to treat patients personally using different drugs that are more likely to cure them. This type of treatment is new and will hopefully lead to cures in the near future.
