Hmm. One or two before I leave for work. On on arrival. And one every time I need an excuse to leave my desk! About 5 on a average, I would say. Sounds like a bit too much, if you ask me…

I usually cycle a few miles to the laboratory and Edinburgh is quite a hilly place so I will shower and have a coffee in my office before starting work around 8:15 am. I will usually take another coffee around 11 am and one just after lunch with my research group.
