Question: hi I'm really interested about the heart and I really want to be a heart surgeon. how do u study about the heart rate and what did u found really intresting about the heart???

Heart surgeon is a really nice job. I remember talking to one of them. He was saying that he was spending his time closing holes. And if you think about it, it is exactly what they are doing. A lot of the pathologies that the surgeons are correcting involves repairing holes between the different chambers of the heart so they are now correctly connected to each other. It sounds simple but it is challenging to do and it can save life!

I am trying to understand how a particular gene, which is mutated in humans having heart disease, is doing its job. I am studying mice which are carrying the same mutation as those humans and their heart is beating slightly too fast. So, I look at the shape of those hearts, as I can do that in mice and not in human and I try to understand why it beats too fast
