• Question: are there equal numbers of men and women working in your field?

      In my department there’s about 150 people and I think it’s pretty equal between men and women. I’m not sure about the whole field, but I hope so.

    For air pollution research I would say it’s about equal until you reach a very senior level – the vast majority of professors are male. All the universities that I have worked with have been making efforts to even this out
