• Question: Why does Jupiter have it’s infamous ‘Big Red Dot’?

      That’s a great question! However, there is no clear theory explaining what is causing the formation or the color of the storm known as the Great Red Spot. Some scientists are studying the effects that cosmic rays or UV light coming from the Sun are having on the chemical composition of the clouds of Jupiter, but still we have no answer… What’s interesting is that it seems the storm is there since before 1665, more than 350 years old!!!
