I like science because it’s interesting and hands-on – I don’t want to be just sat at a desk all day. And if you keep going with science then eventually you get to the point where you actually discover things for the first time, and that’s cool. In school I preferred chemistry because I liked the experiments more, but my work now is more related to biology (the experiments got more fun at uni).
I definitely prefer biology over chemistry and physics. I love learning about our bodies and the natural world. Now that I’m studying infectious diseases I hope that I can use what I know to help improve the lives of others suffering from these infections.
I love discovering things which hopefully one day in the future might help somebody 🙂 Also there isn’t only the three sciences – for instance my work is in the social sciences which isn’t really biology, physics or chemistry.
