Australia, because that is where I grew up and where my family is! (And there are really good beaches 🙂 )

Mexico, because I am originally from this country. The nature, culture and food are amazing!

I’ve loved visiting every country that I’ve been to for conferences… Japan was really different!

I studied in Scotland so I love going there to visit friends.
I love outdoor sports – climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, skiing.
Spain is ace for the culture, history and climbing. Alps are good for all of the above.
But if I had to have only one country to go on holiday day to, I’d pick Italy. The best food!

Lots of countries I’ve been to have been amazing, but my favourite place is probably Yosemite National Park in California, USA. There’s mountains, meadows, rivers, forests of giant trees, and raccoons and bears 🙂

I have no one favorite place, I really enjoy travelling so love visiting new places but particularly places by the sea.

I love the Natural History Museum in London. I have some lovely memories of going there with my grandparents when I was little. I studied for my PhD at Imperial College which is almost next door to the museum so used to go there if I felt stressed or needed a break. The building itself is beautiful and the dinosaur exhibit is fantastic!

I also love travelling – experiencing new cultures, tasting different foods, and seeing what the world has to offer. My favourite place to visit is probably Dallas, Texas (USA) as I have some family there and they are wonderful. I also love seeing Wisconsin, USA for the same reason – but unlike Dallas, there is not as much to do there so wouldn’t necessarily visit (unless you are a Greenbay Packers fan!)

Other places I’ve been are Mexico (would highly recommend), various European countries (Menorca, Spain is wonderful to relax), New Zealand (amazingly chilled way of life, and so impossibly beautiful). However, there are so many places in the world, I hope to see them all one day! I’m thinking I may visit friends in India next – let me know if you have any recommendations!

I’ve been able to do lots of travelling with my job (a perk of being a scientist!). I really enjoyed Paris but I also loved going to Ghana in Africa as it is very different to life in the UK!

Without a doubt it has to be the Isle of Skye – and as it happens I’m here right now to run the half marathon!

America because most of my family live there, and I miss them a lot.

I’d have to say Rottnest Island in Western Australia – it is genuinely heaven on earth!
