      It is funny as I used myself bacteriophages in my experiment a while ago. I used them as a tool to transfer some DNA into some particulars cells. They are really useful but quite difficult to manipulate and there are now better tools available.

      However, I was using them as a tool in a lab. I reckon that you cannot use bacteriophages for gene therapy in human in most western countries. It is still experimental as there are potential drawback to the methods. However, they are considered as an alternative to antibiotics and are the subject of ongoing research.
