• Question: what is the most popular religion within the scientific environment?

      Well, as the scientific environment contains people from all parts of society, I guess the spread of religions is about the same as in the general population.

      I am not sure there is a most popular religion, as science has people from all religions as you would find in many major disciplines.

      I think that it depends upon geographical area… but at my work most folks aren’t very religious

      In my work we are people from different countries, cultures and religions. Even there are people that have not religion. I don’t think religion matters in our research but we all always say in the lab….oh my god!! when we have a bad or good results.

      In department is made up of people from all over the world, and so in my department there is no one religion. If fact many of my colleagues are not religious. But the scientific environment is made up of people from loads of different places and so it would not matter what religion you follow.

      I don’t know. I think science is good because it doesn’t matter about your religion or background, you’re all there with set goals and aims, working together to find out more. I’ve known the religion of a couple of my close friends in the lab but it’s not really something that comes up.
