A fantastic question! So I do two things that are the biggest ‘ethical’ concerns; one is use patient’s GP/Hospital data for my research, and two is interviewing vulnerable adults. They are ethically demanding for different reasons, the first is using sensitive information that we must make sure is anonymised so we cannot identify who it is. Whereas the main issues surrounding interviewing vulnerable adults is mainly about consent – ensuring they are able to give informed consent to take part and are able to withdraw if they so wish!
