Question: What did you do for your GCSEs?

In Scotland we don’t do GCSEs, instead we have Standard Grades and Highers. For Standard Grades I did Biology, Chemistry, Maths, English, French, Geography, Graphic Communication and Music. My Highers were Biology, Religious Education, Geography, Chemistry, Maths and English.

It’s hard to remember exactly, but alongside all the standard ones (Maths, English, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, etc) I chose to do French, German, Art, History and Geography.

At GCSEs I had to do; Science (Physics, Biology, Chemistry), English (Literature and Language), IT (Computing), and Welsh. But, I chose to do; Drama, History and Music 🙂

Like Claire I did the Scottish equivalents of GCSEs (Standard Grades/Intermediates) and A-levels (Highers).
SG/I – Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, French, Computing, and History.
Highers – Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry and Economics. -

Was known as Triple Science (basically each of the sciences Chemistry, Physics and Biology), English, Maths, French, Geography, Welsh, Computing and Design and Technology.

Triple science, English lang + lit, maths, French, history, Russian and Latin.

I did all the standard ones (Maths, English, Science etc) and at my school we also had to pick a language at GCSE so I also did French. We had two options and I chose Psychology and music 🙂

It’s so hard to remember that far back 🙂 but I think I did Maths, Statistics, Double Science, Double English, P.E., Humanities, French, German, and Design & Technology Food
