This is avery important and general question. Since some decades ago, molecular biologists have developed methods to identify, isolate, and manipulate molecular components in cells including DNA, RNA, and proteins.
The molecular biology (MB) is a broad field and the number of techniques has been increased. Some of MB techniques are: Polymerase chain reaction (PCR), reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR), Expression cloning, Gel electrophoresis (DNA, RNA and proteins), Arrays, etc. These techniques have been used to develop more complicated techniques like DNA/RNA sequencing and Proteomics.
