• Question: Some astronauts contemplate travelling to Mars, but don't know how to safely travel out of and back into through the radioactive field surrounding the Earth. If they still havent figured this out, did we really go to the moon? If we did, it would already be known to us how to get past that radioactive field.

It’s an interesting point actually… What you have to consider is that the Moon and Mars are completely different environments (in terms of temperature, atmospheric gases, …)… Which means that the problems the astronauts had to overcome about 50 years ago when they went to the Moon are not the same problems they would encounter on Mars now… So having been to the Moon doesn’t unfortunately give a solution for space travels to Mars… I have the feeling we are going to solve some of these problems soon, anyway =)
