• Question: If all human life were to be destroyed, then would it be possible to preserve DNA from humans before this event to resume life afterwards.

      That depends on the nature of the extinction event.

      However one could preserve human DNA easily enough – in a vault, in a capsule buried under the sea or shot into space. Even sent to the moon or Mars.

      But presently we don’t have the technology to make a human from DNA alone – and we certainly can’t create an automated process to begin this in the event of our extinction.

      If an advanced alien species or another intelligent life-form from this planet ever found our genetic material – then maybe they could bring back that human (s) – but would they want to?
      >
      If we are wiped out anytime soon – that will be that for humans.

      In theory yes, but I’m not sure who would bring us back.
