I do not. Dreams are really complicated, but essentially they are created from our own subconcious thoughts, and some scientists think they are the brain’s way of sorting out the events of the day – sort of like a virtual filing system. Because they are created from our own experiences and memories, and we have not seen the future, there is no way they could predict the future any more than we could. However, sometimes a dream might “come true” just the same as you could predict the future yourself, but it is still a little freaky when this happens!

I also do not think dreams can predict the future. No-one knows really why we have dreams – there may be theories like Joanne said, but they are very difficult to prove empirically. The only thing I think may come close to a dream predicting the future is perhaps if you really want something you may have a dream about it, which comes true (e.g. before I graduated, I really just wanted to graduate, and was really worried about what grade I would have, as I wanted to be the best I could possibly be. I had dreams of graduating, then I did graduate in real life and I did well!). But this may be more of a reflection of your desires and working really hard to get what you want rather than ‘predicting the future’.
