That’s a difficult question and one that is making me think. I reckon knowing that it’s ok to find things hard might be one of the most important lessons. Many things are complex, and will not be easy regardless of experience or skill. Other things you will find difficult simply because they are new to you, these things just require time and effort. There are also those things to which you are not suited, and that’s also fine because no one is good at everything. Most of the scientists here (myself definitely included) run into problems at work we struggle with every day, so being comfortable with dealing with this is important.
