      Vitamins are essential nutrients that our bodies need to be able to function correctly. We can’t make our own vitamins and usually get all the vitamins we need from a healthy and balanced diet.

      Bacteria are microorganisms that made up of a single cell. Some bacteria can produce vitamins which can be useful for us as an alternative to synthetically producing them. For example bacteria in the gut can provide vitamins such as vitamin K and B vitamins.

      No, because vitamins are chemical compounds and are not ‘living’, whereas bacteria are small living organisms.
