Personally, I think the Universre is so vast that it’s incredibly unlikley that we are the only life form. I’m not sure there are green aliens out there but I’m pretty sure there must be at least very simple organic life somewhere – bacteria-like lifeforms perhaps at the least! In fact here on Earth there are some very inhospitable habitats, with very high temperatures or pressures, like deep sea thermal vents, where some types of bacteria thrive so this leads us to think that there may also be similar life on other planets with environments that are no good for humans, but may support other life.

I agree with Joey, the Universe is huge. Incomprehensibly huge. Us being the only lifeforms seems improbable. However, whether we will ever be able to find these other lifeforms, I don’t know, perhaps not. Or at least, I don’t think I’d see anything in my lifetime!

I hope not! I think it would be a bit lonely if there was no one else out there, and I think it’s probably unlikely as there is so much that we don’t understand out there.
